Go to Settings → Security → “Change password”. You need to provide your current password and enter the new one twice - at least 8 characters, with at least one digit.
Don't remember your current password? Log out, click “Forgot password” on the login screen - we'll send an email with a reset link. The link is valid for an hour.
No. It's enough to send the student a link to the whiteboard - they'll open it in the browser, draw, and write in the chat. No login, no installation.
A student account (
student.lern.one), however, gives them: their own app with the history of all whiteboards, a Homework section, the full chat thread, and voice calls with a persistent identity. You invite them with the “Invite to panel” button on the student card. The most common reason: the browser wasn't granted microphone permission. Check the padlock icon next to the URL → “Microphone” → “Allow”.
If it works on your side - ask the student to do the same. On iPhone in Safari, permissions sometimes need to be granted twice (Settings → Safari → Microphone).
1.5% gross of each transaction - that's all Lern keeps. On top of that, Stripe charges its own fee:
- card - about 1.5% + 1 zł
- BLIK - about 0.5%
Example: a student pays 100 zł via BLIK → Stripe takes ~0.50 zł, Lern 1.50 zł, you receive ~98 zł to your account.
A draft - yes, edit it freely as long as you haven't clicked “Issue”.
An issued invoice - no. Polish law requires continuity of numbering. You can cancel it - the invoice gets a red CANCELLED watermark, stays visible in the archive, but doesn't count for accounting. Then you issue a new, correct one.
14 days of full access for 0 zł, no card. The trial starts on its own when you create an account and finish the short setup. You get every feature right away, just like on the Ultimate plan: the AI assistant, invoices, chats and voice calls, lesson summaries. The only exception is online payments from students via Stripe Connect: we turn them on once you choose a paid plan.
You don't enter a card or any payment details, so nothing renews on its own and nothing is charged. You can see how many days are left on the plan card in the sidebar. If you need more time, you can extend the trial by 7 days once by filling in a short form in the app.
When the trial ends, the dashboard asks you to choose a plan: Basic, Pro or Ultimate. Without a plan the account is paused, but your data stays: you can download your students, billing and whiteboards, or delete the account together with its data. The trial is available once per person, also after deleting the account and registering again with the same email address.
By default, no - to Google Calendar we send only: lesson title, date, duration, student name, and subject.
In Settings → Integrations you can choose to include extra details - the student's phone number, their email, or your own notes in the event description. That's entirely your call, and it's off by default. The sync only goes one way: from Lern to Google, never back.
Account and login
Password, access, security, GDPR.
Go to Settings → Security → “Change password”. You need to provide your current password and enter the new one twice - at least 8 characters, with at least one digit.
Don't remember your current password? Log out, click “Forgot password” on the login screen - we'll send an email with a reset link. The link is valid for an hour.
Change your password right away (Settings → Security) - that logs out every other device, including the suspicious one.
If you suspect a breach, write to kontakt@lern.one with the subject “Security” - we'll check the logs and any potential abuse.
On servers in the European Union (Ireland) - accounts, students, whiteboards, files, everything.
One exception: when you use the AI Assistant, your questions go to Anthropic's servers (the company behind the model the assistant runs on) in the US - so don't type student names or contact details in there. Payments are handled by Stripe, which may verify identity through its own global infrastructure.
In Settings → Security, right at the bottom of the page, there's a “Delete account” button. Click it, confirm, and the request comes straight to us.
We don't delete the account automatically - we review the request by hand first (so nobody loses data by mistake or through someone else's access) and reply by email to confirm, usually within a few business days. Issued invoices we keep for 5 years, as required by tax law.
Students and invitations
Adding, inviting, archiving.
You invite them with the “Invite to panel” button on the student card.Check spam - sometimes the email lands there with certain providers (Onet, WP, some corporate Gmail accounts). If it's not there - open the student's profile and click “Resend”. The old link is deactivated, the new one is valid for 7 days.
You can also copy the link directly (“Copy link”) and send it to the student via WhatsApp/SMS.
The student disappears from the active list, but their data (whiteboards, chats, invoices) stays intact. You can restore them at any time.
Archived students don't count toward the plan limit. For example, on Basic you have 15 active student slots, but you can have any number of archived ones.
Yes. After accepting an invitation from a second tutor, they see tiles for both tutors in their app and choose which one to enter. Each tutor sees only their own data - no exceptions, one tutor never sees another's notes or whiteboards.
Whiteboard and lessons
Real-time collaboration, voice, files.
The whiteboard saves automatically, in the background. If you see a yellow or red dot instead of a green one in the bottom-right corner - you've lost the connection to the server. Check your internet and refresh the page.
As long as you don't close the browser tab, your latest changes stay put and send themselves once the connection is back.
The monthly limit for new whiteboards depends on your plan: Basic: 20, Pro: 100. Ultimate has no limit, and neither does the trial. Only whiteboards created since the 1st of the current month count: old ones stay, and you can keep opening and editing them without restriction.
The counter resets on the 1st of each month at midnight.
Drag the file onto the whiteboard, or copy an image (Ctrl+C) and paste it (Ctrl+V). We accept photos and images: PNG, JPG, WEBP, GIF, HEIC, SVG. Limit per file: 10 MB. The file goes into secure storage - the student sees it after joining the whiteboard.
The whiteboard doesn't accept PDFs or other documents yet - only images, since that's what you can actually paste onto a canvas. Upload PDFs and documents to Homework or Files instead.
Payments and Stripe
Receiving payments, commission, payouts.
By default, Stripe payouts for new accounts have a so-called 7-day rolling reserve - the first payout appears ~7 days after the first transaction. After 30 days of history, the reserve shortens to 2 days.
You decide the payout schedule yourself (daily / weekly / manual) in the Stripe Express Dashboard → Settings → Payouts.
In Lern there's no “refund” button - by design. You handle refunds outside Stripe: in cash, by bank transfer, with a voucher for future lessons, or as a credit on the next invoice.
If it's an unavoidable chargeback (the student files it through their bank) - you'll get a notification asking for evidence in the Express Dashboard. Attach lesson logs, chat screenshots, and invoices.
The Stripe payment link doesn't expire - you can resend it from the Billing → Payments tab. You can also click “...” → “Send payment link” again in the lesson table, and we'll generate a new link with the same cart.
Invoices
Issuing, editing, corrections, numbering.
Settings → Invoicing. Enter the company name, tax ID, REGON, and registered address. You can also swap the logo and choose an accent color - they'll appear on every subsequent invoice.
You can also change the seller details directly in the invoice wizard - we'll then ask “Save these details as default?”
You set the number pattern in Settings → Invoicing. By default:
FV/{ROK}/{MIESIAC}/{LP}→FV/2026/04/0017. The sequence is atomic - even with simultaneous issuing you'll never duplicate a number.
Lern subscription
Plans, trial period, plan change, cancellation.
Upgrade (e.g. Basic → Pro): you pay the prorated difference for the remaining days, with access to new features right away.
Downgrade (e.g. Pro → Basic): the change only takes effect at the end of the current billing period - so you don't lose the value of the already-paid month.
In both cases Stripe shows a cost preview before you confirm.
Settings → Subscription → “Cancel plan”. The subscription stays active until the end of the already-paid period. After that the dashboard asks you to choose a plan again, and your data stays in your account. You can reactivate it with one click before the expiry date, then nothing changes.
Stripe retries the charge a few times over the following days. After the first failed attempt you get an email with a link to update your card - in the meantime your plan works normally, we don't lock anything.
If every attempt fails, the subscription gets cancelled and your account is paused until you choose a plan. Your students, whiteboards and full history stay intact.
Integrations
Google Calendar and calendar sync.
Usually it's enough to go to Settings → Integrations → Google Calendar and click “Reconnect” - Google sometimes revokes access on its own after a while.
If you manually deleted the dedicated “lern.one” calendar in Google - we'll detect it at the next sync and automatically disable the integration. Reconnect and we'll create a new one.
Other
Reporting bugs, suggestions, contact.
Fastest way: click “Report a bug / idea” in the sidebar (on mobile it's in the mobile menu) - a panel opens where you describe the issue and attach a screenshot right there. It goes straight to us.
You can also email kontakt@lern.one - we usually reply within a day. It helps if you mention what you were trying to do, what happened instead, and which browser you're using.
For now we're betting on the web app - it already works fully on your phone's browser: whiteboard, voice, video, all responsive, nothing to install.
Native iOS/Android apps are something we'd like to build eventually, but there's no fixed date yet. If that changes, you'll see it in Updates.
